Where are you based?
We are based in Lancashire in a village called Aughton. We do deliver nationwide however, using a haulage network with delivery depots covering the whole of the UK.
What size lorry do you deliver on?
Standard deliveries are made on an 18 tonne delivery vehicle. Generally, if a refuse truck can get down your road then we can. If you are concerned about access please give our team a call to discuss it further.
Do you deliver on Saturdays?
Yes. However, a Saturday delivery entails a £30 surcharge, so many of our customers opt for a Friday delivery if they want the goods for the weekend.
Does the price include delivery and VAT?
Yes, the price quoted is the all inclusive delivered price.
Do I have to be home when the delivery is made?
We can arrange for the delivery to be left without a signature, although we would need prior notice.
Can I pick a delivery day?
In the checkout section of the website you can choose your delivery day from the calendar. Our standard delivery days are Tuesday through to Friday.
Do you deliver to where I live?
We cover the entire mainland UK, however our delivery lorry will need space to access your road & requires a flat, hard surface to lower the pallet on to. If you think delivery could be an issue for a full sized lorry - get in touch with the team to arrange a smaller wagon delivery on 01695 422 144
What's the best time of year to lay turf?
It is best to lay turf in the autumn or spring, when it is not too hot and not too cold. It can be laid in the winter, but it will take longer to root in. You can also do it in the summer but the turf must be layed the same day and watered more.
Do you have a minimum order?
We have no minimum order but recommend ordering more than 10 rolls.
Do I need to use top soil underneath my turf?
You will need to use top soil if you have poor quality soil in your garden, or if the ground levels are uneven.
How is the turf delivered?
We deliver the turf to the kerbside of the address, using a tail-lift offload. We do not have a hiab available. The delivery needs to be made to a flat, hard standing area. Let us know if you think there may be potential access problems.
Will I receive an invoice or receipt?
Once your order has been placed you should receive a confirmation within a few minutes. This confirmation e-mail will act as your invoice and receipt.
Do you provide a laying service?
How much notice do I need to give for delivery?
As long as your order is received before 2pm we can offer a next-day delivery service.
What do I do with the pallet?
Our haulage company do not collect the pallet used for delivery, so we ask that you think of the environment when you dispose of your pallet. Your council or a local business may be able to advise on this.
